On December 11, 1953, Inocencio Garcia held the first service in the backyard of Santos Ybarra’s residence on Pueblo Street. Soon a lot was purchased on Perez Street, one block north of Pedro Street, and a building was moved into the property to hold services.
As the congregation grew, the small church building could not accommodate the group. In 1957, a larger church building was constructed that included Sunday School rooms.
In 1972, the church building was moved to a three lot property located a few blocks away on Holland Street. The church building was placed on a concrete foundation. Sunday School rooms and a kitchen were added and the entire structure was covered with brick.
By the early 2000s, the church was outgrowing the building. Parking became problematic as well and there was no room for expansion. Talk of expansion soon turned to talk of relocation. In 2010, a five acre property was purchased at 301 West Mile 2 Rd, but it was not until 2020 funding became available for construction. On March 20, 2022 the new and current church building was dedicated.
